Depending on your frame of reference, these shapes are evocative of manta rays or farming tools.  Traded as currency in Nigeria and Cameroon, each of these pieces has a beautifully mottled patina.They were traditionally used as a bridewealth - given by the groom to a bride's family during the wedding ceremony.
