Comprised of iron and other alloys, this giant piece of currency was the heaviest piece of currency produced by blacksmiths. Forged from a heavy sheet of iron, this was made in the shape of a curved hoe and showed the wealth of its owner. The agrarian shape suggests the value given to farming tools. This handsome and historic sculpture was a custormary gift from a bride's father to the groom's family and was exchanged during the wedding ceremony.
