This delightful iron sculpture was originally used as currency. Hand-forged by the village blacksmith, this piece would have been stored near a family altar at home until it was needed for trade or brought out to be displayed during special ceremonies. When we saw this piece, we were instantly reminded of the wonderful jewelry made by the modern sculptor, Alexander Calder.
